A Mental Snack (28)

Share your thoughts...

"All people dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind, wake in the morning to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people, For they dream their dreams with open eyes, And make them come true." ~ D. H. Lawrence

Do you daydream a lot? Do you believe that dreams can come true? What do you dream about? If you're a writer, do your dreams ever seep into your writing?

I daydream all the time, and I think dreams and daydreams can come true.

My night dreams used to show up in my writing, but now my daydreams are more likely to do that.

I daydream constantly and am working damn hard at bringing them into reality :)

LOVE that picture!

I daydream all the time, and my stories stem from those dreams. As for real dreams, I'll let you know if they come true after I start querying :)

What a cool picture! :)

And yes, I daydream all the time, constantly, probably too much. I definitely think dreams can come true, you just need to believe in them enough.

(Do I sound like a Disney commercial? ;) )

I am a dreamer of the day...I almost never remember dreaming at night. The daydreaming is where my story ideas come from. It's also the place I go when I'm stressed, down, or when I feel undone....we'll see about them coming true!

I write my dreams down - turn the more bizarre ones into poetry

Yes, I do dream a lot. Sometimes with eyes closed and sometimes with eyes wide open. 8)

Hey, Medeia!

I think our dreams and daydreams always somehow seep into our writing, because they come from our subconscious. Our mind is working even when we dream. It provides us of story ideas and ways of building on our characters even when we aren't doing it consciously. The mind is an amazing thing.

Write on and continue dreaming!

Wow, Nicole, I love your enthusiasm!

I want to make my dreams and daydreams into reality, as well. I want them come alive in my life and in my writing!

So, write on and fight for your dreams!

Hello, Falen!

I'm glad you like the picture. I thought it was so hypnotizing with its color and the way it was portrayed that I just had to put it up with the dream quote!

Write on!

Hey, RosieC! Thanks for following my blog, I greatly appreciate it! :D

My daydreams always seep into my stories, someway and somehow, which is not a bad thing! It's actually good to have imagination fill in the gaps of my writing. As for your real dreams, I wish you luck and success in your querying!

Write on and let your dreams be your guide!

Hello, Writing Nut! I'm also glad you enjoyed the picture. It was hard to find the perfect one for this quote. I guess that I eventually found it!

As for dreaming too much, there is no such thing. Have belief in your dreams, believe in them with all your heart, and they will come true. I think the same way.

And no, you do not sound like a Disney commercial, so don't worry! :D

Write on and keep your dreams alive!

Hey, The Words Crafter!

It's good to hear that you daydream and how it helps with your writing. I am the same way. Also, I rarely remember my dreams at night, unless they made a strong impression on me. Did you know that everyone has at least four-eight dreams a night? I learned that in my psychology class.

It's also good to have dreams as an escape. I love going off into my dreams after a stressful day. Naps are awesome!

Write on and dream with your eyes open and closed!

Hey, Words a Day!

I am the same. Whenever I have a dream that makes an impression on me, I usually write it down as fast as I can so it doesn't escape me. Later on, my dreams affect my writing and become stories themselves. It's amazing what the mind can do even when asleep.

Write on and write down all those dreams before they escape!

Hello, Nehha!

I think we can all agree that we dream with our eyes open and eyes closed. Dreaming is just one of the best feelings in the world. It's sort of like an out-of-body experience for me. A way to step out of reality.

Write on and escape reality every once in awhile with your dreams!

My daydreams help fuel my writing.

I daydream all the time. I'm not a little addicted to daydreams. :)

Hey, Terresa!

All my dreams fuel my imagination and writing and I guess I might be addicted to my dreams, too, but who wouldn't be?

Write on and dream as much as you want!
